Entries are now open for the 2019/2020 Youth Agri Enterprise Awards - a program to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in the Agri industry in Kenya coordinated by Human Development International (HDI) Kenya.
The Youth Agri Enterprise Awards will celebrate and award achievement of Kenyan's top rural youth led and managed Agri based micro-enterprises from all parts of Kenya.
Main Awards
- USD$15,000 - worth of technical and financial support for the top 3 finalists in Kenya.
- Training, Marketing linkages and product development support for all the finalists in all the 47 counties.
Selection Criteria / Eligibility
- The opportunity is open to any appropriate sector of Agriculture
- Applicants must be 30 years and below and must prove ownership of the enterprises
- Applicants must be engaged directly in any form of innovative Agri based enterprise that is adapting a form of modern technology, environmental friendly and rural based within county.
- The Agri enterprise must be individual owned and must show potential for growth and increase local employment while creating direct financial and social impact in rural setup

- Application process is open until 31st Dec 2019
- Application screening will be between 1st Jan -30th April 2020
- Award declaration for top 3 finalists from each county to be done in may 2020
- Award declaration for top 3 finalists for the whole country will be done in July 2020.
