2018 Applications For Admission M- PESA Foundation Academy

Applications are now open and accepted from students from all counties in Kenya.
The admission process usually opens in March when application forms are sent out across the country and ends in December when the final list of selected candidates is generated.

Admission Criteria

The admission to the academy is based on the following criteria:

• Academic Excellence
• Financial need
• Responsible citizenship
• Problem solving
• Critical thinking
• Leadership and entrepreneurship potential

Where to get the application forms

Applicants can get the application forms in the following ways:

1. Download it Online on www.mpesafoundationacademy.ac.ke
2. Physical forms are available at:

• County and sub county Education offices
• Safaricom Retail shops
• Selected local churches/ mosques

Qualifications for Admission

Each of the applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:

• Each applicant be in their last year of primary school, Registered to sit for their KCPE exams in November 2018.
• Applicants must be at least 13 and not more than 15 years of age at the time they are expected to join Form 1 in January 2019.
• Be a Kenyan 
• The academy is an inclusive learning institution and students with disability are highly encouraged to apply.

Documents required 

• M-PESA Foundation Academy application form
• Photocopy of Birth certificate
• Photocopy of Parent/ guardian ID
• Photocopy of death certificate if orphaned
• Photocopy of reports of the last 3 years signed and stamped by the applicant school officials
• Photocopy of co - curriculum activities certificate
• Copy of payslip for parent/ guardian if any
• Copy of any other documents relevant

How to apply 

• Fill out the application form for 2018 only as clear as possible. When information is absolutely not available please mark, (NOT AVAILABLE)
• Attach all relevant documents with the application form, failure to which your application will not be considered
• Write all essays in the space provided within the form using your own handwriting and words.
• Application should be  enclosed and sealed in an envelope during submission
• For Online applications, applicants should ensure that the application is scanned as a single PDF document

The application deadline is July 31st 2018. Applications sent after that will not be considered.
