Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has recently introduced a new easier and faster way of buying power tokens via USSD *977#
This is how to go about it:
Before you proceed with the process ,make sure you have the amount you want to purchase the tokens in your MPESA wallet.
On your phone , dial *977#
Select Prepaid Services
Enter your Meter number
Enter the amount of money you wish to spend
Enter your MPESA pin and press send
You will receive a message about the purchase.
Before KPLC customers used to pay via PAYBILL: 888880 for prepaid token buying.
KPLC also changed its Emergency Customer care contacts to 97771 from the previous 95551
