Eligibility Criteria
Kenyan Citizenship:
You must be a Kenyan citizen.
Admission:
You must have an admission letter to pursue a KASNEB course from a recognized institution.
The KASNEB courses currently funded are:
- Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
- Certified Secretaries (CS)
- Certified Investment and Financial Analysts (CIFA)
- Certified Credit Professionals (CCP)
- Accounting Technicians Diploma (ATD)
- Certificate in Accounting and Management Skills (CAMS)
Academic Requirements:
Ensure you meet the academic qualifications for the KASNEB course you intend to pursue.
First-Time or Continuing Student:
Whether you are a first-time applicant or a continuing student, you must not be a beneficiary of another HELB loan for the same level of study.
Application Process
- Visit the HELB website: [HELB Website](https://www.helb.co.ke/)
- If you are a new user, click on “create an account” and fill in the required details to register.
- Log in to your HELB account using the credentials created during registration.
- Navigate to the loan application section and select the appropriate KASNEB HELB loan application form.
- Carefully fill in all the required details in the application form.
- Provide accurate personal, academic, and financial information.
- Attach the necessary supporting documents as specified in the application form (e.g., a copy of your national ID, admission letter, KRA PIN, passport-sized photo).
- After completing the online form, download and print the filled application form.
- Take the printed form to the relevant authorities for signing and certification. This may include your guarantors, parent/guardian, and the institution's administration
- Submit the signed and certified application form to the nearest HELB office or the specified collection point.
- Ensure you keep a copy of the application form and the submission receipt for your records.
Required Documents
- A copy of your national ID card.
- A copy of your KRA PIN certificate.
- A passport-sized photograph.
- A copy of your admission letter from a KASNEB accredited institution.
- Copies of your academic certificates (where applicable).
- Signed and certified application form.
After Submission
- Loan Processing: HELB will process your application and communicate the status through your HELB portal account.
- Disbursement:If approved, the loan amount will be disbursed according to HELB’s schedule directly to your institution for tuition and to your bank account for upkeep if applicable.
