As per the Communication Authority of Kenya requirements ,all simcard holders in Kenya should know the mobile simcards registered under their ID details and report any numbers that are registered under their IDs without their consent.

In a joint message to their customers, Safaricom, Airtel Kenya and Telkom have encouraged Kenyans to use USSD code *106# so as to stay safe and secure from fraudsters.

What is *106# Service?

This is a USSD code by Safaricom, Airtel and Telkom that enables you to check and report numbers registered under your National ID details. You can only access *106# USSD code only with your primary number ( oldest and most active number registered under your ID.


How Do I Check Numbers Registered under my Name 

  • On your primary phone number dial*106#
  • Reply with 1 ( Check my numbers) 
  • A list of all numbers registered under your name will appear.

How To Report Numbers Registered under my Name Without my Consent

  • On your primary phone number dial *106# 
  • Reply with 2( Report Unknown Number) 
  • Reply with the number you want to report and send 
  • Wait for 21 days for verification.
  • You can also go ahead and report the unknown numbers to the police.
