Okoa Stima is a loan services provided by Safaricom in partnership with Kenya Power. In case of emergency customers can pay for electricity with Okoa Stima loan. 

How To Get Started With Okoa Stima

Customers can register for Okoa Stima on their mobile phone as follows: 

On your phone dial*885# 

Accept the Okoa Stima terms and conditions

Enter your National ID number

Enter your preferred PIN and Re-enter to confirm

Your will receive a confirmation SMS 

Select Continue

Enter your PIN

Select Register Meter ( New) 

Choose prepaid or postpaid

Enter your kplc Meter number or account number and submit.

You will receive a confirmation message that you have successfully registered for Okoa Stima.

How To pay Your Post pay Power Bills With Okoa Stima

Post paid Kenya power customers can settle their bills using Okoa Stima as follows: 

Dial *885#

Enter your Okoa Stima PIN

Select Postpaid 

Choose Account number ( Automatically displayed)

Select Paybill via MPESA 

Select pay in full or partially

Enter amount to be paid and submit.

You will receive a confirmation message about the transaction.

How To Buy Tokens for prepaid kplc meters via Okoa Stima

With Kenya Power token metres one can buy tokens via Okoa Stima as follows: 

On your phone dial*885# 

Enter your Okoa Stima PIN

Select Prepaid

Select Okoa Stima

Select Emergency top up

Choose meter number

Choose Okoa Stima loan amount from ksh100 to ksh 1000 , confirm and submit.

You will receive a confirmation message from Okoa Stima with a token which you load to your meter.
