New Students joining South Eastern Kenya University (SEKU) have to register with the university's student portal and login for them to access students online services provided by the university such as , Unit registration, hostel booking, fees statement, exams results etc.

How To Register with the Student Portal

This is the step by step procedure on how to register with the portal:

  • On your browser visit: www.portal.seku.ac.ke 
  • A student login page will appear
  • Click on " Create an account "
  • Enter your Registration number
  • Enter a password of your choice
  • Re-enter the password
  • Click on " Submit "
The system will register you on the portal and you will be able to login to access the services.

How To Login

  • On your browser visit: www.portal.seku.ac.ke 
  • A student login page will appear
  • Enter your Registration number on the space provided
  • Enter your password
  • Click on "Login"
The system will open the student portal for you to access all the services provided by the university.

How To Reset Password / Forgotten Password

Sometimes students forget their passwords for login into the student portal or rather its safe to change your password after the initial login for security reasons.
This is how to do it:



  • On your browser visit :www.portal.seku.ac.ke 
  • A student login page will appear
  • Click on the link " Reset password " ( Forgot password)
  • Enter your Registration number 
  • Click on the "Email link"
  • Follow the rest of the simple instructions to reset your password
