Residents of Nairobi County who wish to participate for the 9th  Oct 2019 Kenya Prisons Recruitment exercise in Nairobi for Constables rank have to know the following:

1. Qualifications for the recruitment exercise

Potential candidates :

• Must be Kenyan citizens
• Must have  KCSE certificates with D+plus mean grade and above 
• Be aged between 18 - 28 years for KCSE certificate holders
• Be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall for men and 5 feet 2 inches tall for women
• Be physically and Medically fit 
• Have no criminal records
• Female candidates must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment and the entire period of training

• Starehe - Kariokor DCs office at 2:00 pm 
• Mathare - Mathari Hospital grounds at 8:00 am 
• Kasarani ,Roysambu - Kasarani DCs office 2:00 pm 
• Kasarani Ruaraka - Moi Sports Grounds at 8:00 am 
• Makadara - Makadara DCs office at 2:00 pm
• Embakasi Central - Mwangaza PRI.school at 8:00 am 
• Embakasi North - Buruburu PRI.school at 2:00 pm 
• Embakasi East  - Embakasi PRI.school at 8:00 am

Candidates must carry with them to the recruitment centres on the very day with the following original documents;

1. Original ID 
2. Birth certificate
3. KRA PIN Certificate
4. Academic / Professional Certificates and any other testimonials

On recruitment, candidates will undergo a paramilitary initial training course not lasting less than 9 months at the Kenya Prisons Training College Ruiru.
