New students joining The Cooperative University of Kenya, must register with the university students portal for them to be able to access online services provided by the university such as Fee statements, exams results, unit registration, hostel booking among other services.

This is not a big deal , registering, login and password reset for the student portal is as easy as ABC, let's go!!

How To Register

This is the step by step process on how to register with the student portal:

  • On your browser visit the official university website (
  • The university website will open with two menus ,select the second menu
  • On the second menu drop down Click 'ADMISSION'
  • On the drop down menu that will appear click on 'New students Self registration' it will direct you to a student self service portal
  • On the student self-service portal enter your KCSE index number and year of completion of KCSE eg 12345678910/2019 in the space labelled ' Enter your your KCSE index number to print your admission letter.
  • Click on ' Check status' 
  • Fill in the details required: Mobile no , ID number, Gender, Email address, year of birth county etc
  • Click on ' Submit Details' 
  • Click on Download Admission letter
  • Click on Admission Activation Tab 
  • Enter your Admission number
  • Click on ' Load' to view the updated data
  • Proceed to attach other documents required including Doctor's report, Admission letter, KCSE result slip , National ID
  • After successful uploading the above documents click on Submit button and you will be redirected to the Student portal.

How To Login into the student portal

  • On your browser visit 
  • A student login page will appear
  • Enter your Admission number in the first box as student number
  • Enter your Admission number at the second box as your password
  • Click on ' Login'  and the student portal will be opened for you.
N/B students are to change their passwords after the initial login to be safe for the portal.

How To Reset Password/ Change password / Change forgotten password
