Chevening Scholarship

The 2020/2021 Chevening Scholarship opportunities are now open for application.
Chevening is the UK Government global Scholarship program that sponsor students from allover the world to take a one-year Masters degree programme at any UK university.


What The Scholarship Provide

Chevening provide fully-funded scholarships leaving the student free to focus on achieving their academic goals and enjoying the experience of a lifetime. The scholarship provide:

  • Tuition fees 
  • A monthly stipend
  • Travel costs to and from the UK 
  • An arrival allowance
  • A homeward departure allowance
  • The cost of one visa application
  • A travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK 

Eligibility

For one to be eligible for the scholarship must:
  • Be a citizen of a Chevening - eligible country or territory ( Kenya included)
  • Return to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two(2) years after end of the award.
  • Have completed all components of an undergraduate degree that will enable you to gain admission onto a postgraduate programme at a UK university by the time you submit your application
  • Have at least two years of work experience
  • Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and have received unconditional offer from one of those choices by 16th July 2020
  • Meet the Chevening English language requirements by July 2020

Eligible Courses

The courses eligible for the program must be:
  • Full-time
  • Start in the autumn term ( Usually Sept/Oct)
  • Taught Master programme ( Not research focused)
  • Lead to a Masters degree qualifications
  • Based in the UK
