The United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is a UN agency responsible for providing emergency food and healthcare to children and mothers in countries affected by war.

Every year , UNICEF provides attachments and internships opportunities to the youth to give them a chance to gain real work experience that makes them relevant in the job market.

UNICEF internships and attachments are offered depending on the needs and capacity of its offices to receive and supervise the interns.

Eligibility for Internships at UNICEF

For candidates to be considered for attachments and internships at UNICEF must meet the following;

  • Have excellent academic performance
  • Be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or PhD degree programme or have graduated within the past 2 years 
  • Be proficient in at least one of the UNICEF working languages - English, French, or Spanish.
  • Have no close relative working with UNICEF.
