Telkom Kenya Graduate Trainee programme

Telkom Kenya in its effort to help the government of Kenya initiative to make a pool of young talents , Telkom Kenya developed a Graduate Trainee Programme to give graduates an opportunity to gain work experience, showcase their abilities as well as developing their career.

Duration of the Programme

The Graduate Trainee Programme runs for a period of six months every year under which the 10 selected individuals are divided into two groups and taken in a rotational work basis through the various sections of the company.

Applications and Selection Process

Graduates are selected from a cross all major universities in Kenya with priority given to students who studied the following courses:

  • Computer science
  • Business Information Technology ( BBIT)
  • Information Technology (IT)
  • Telecommunication and Engineering
Shortlisted candidates are taken through a written assessment test to test their technical know-how on technology basics.

Successful candidates from the written assessment test proceed to face-to-face interview where the top ten successful candidates are taken into the programme.

At the end of the six months , the trainees are required to present an individual project which is used to assess their learning agility. If successful the trainees are now absorbed into the company as full employees in the different sections of the Technology Division.
