The county Government of Kilifi is inviting applications from qualified and competent individuals for the positions of Five(5) Members of the Valuation Court for the Department of Lands , Energy, Housing, Physical planning & urban Development as follows:

1. Job Title: CHAIRPERSON OF THE VALUATION COURT 1 post

Duties and responsibilities
i. Chairing meetings of the Valuation court
ii. Hearing and Determinations of all objections lodged against the Draft Valuation Roll
iii. Ensuring reports are prepared for submission to the Chief Officer Lands regarding all the objections heard and detemined

Academic Qualifications and Requirements
i. An advocate of the High court of not less than 5 years standing/or magistrate having power to hold a surbordinate court of the first class
ii. Extensive knowledge on land matters and land sector
iii. Experience in assignments similar to this activity
iv. Must be a Kenyan citizen
v. Satisfies the provisions of chapter six of the constitution

Terms of service: One (1) month renewable contract.


2. Job Title : MEMBERS OF THE VALUATION COURT (4 POSTS)

Duties and responsibilities
i. Hearing and determining all the objections lodged against the Draft valuation Roll
ii. Writing and compiling reports on the activities of the valuation court
iii. Performing any other duty as assigned by the chairperson of the valuation court.

Academic Qualifications and Requirements
i. Bachelors degree in Land Economics/Real Estate, Urban & Regional Planning, Land Survey or any other relevant qualifications
ii. Extensive knowledge on land matters and land sector.
iii. Must be a Kenyan citizen
iv. Satisfies the provision of chapter six of the constitution

Terms of service: One (1) month renewable contract

For candidates to meet the requirements of chapter six of the constitution of Kenya, all applicants must obtain the following:
i. Tax compliance certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority
ii. Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board
iii. Clearance certificate from the Ethics and Anti - Corruption Commission
iv. Certificate of Good Conduct
v. Clearance from the Credit Reference Bureau
