The Vihiga County Public Service Board seeks to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the 770 vacant positions of ECDE Teachers in its 385 ECDE centres across the county.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Class teaching & control
- Organizing and facilitating playing/ learning activities to enable children cope with primary school life.
- Managing ECDE centres and keeping professional records
- Conducting co-curicular activities
- Caring and nurturing spiritual, moral, mental and physical growth of children.
- Perform any other duties that will be assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- A diploma in Early childhood education from a recognized institution
- A certificate in ECDE offered by KNEC /Ministry of Education or equivalent
- Candidate must be registered with Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
- Recommendation letter from the Headteacher of the institution where the candidate is serving
- At least 2 years of teaching experience
- Have a valid certificate of good conduct
