Key Responsibilities

1. To ensure quality health and social well-being of Unilever employees.
2. Minimise and possibly eradicate exposure to occupational health diseases on site.

Job Summary

1. Implement the OH site work plans and deliver on KPIs
2. Ensure OH surveillance is carried out and implement interventions
3. Ensure site meets Unilever standards on OH
4. Ensure site meets all Government legislation on OH
5. Ensure provision of primary health care on site
6. Developing and implementing health and safety programs
7. Developing wellbeing and disease prevention programs such as exercise, smoking cessation, nutrition programs
8. Documenting all employee injuries and tracking illnesses within the workplace
9. Observing and assessing the work environment for potential dangers and hazards
10. Treating injuries and minor illnesses for employees, including follow-ups and referrals
11. Overseeing and implementing emergency and disaster preparedness programs and planning
12. Counseling employees on physical and mental health issues and guiding them toward available resources and employee assistance programs
13. Monitoring the health status of employees and ensure site lamplighter & HIV/AIDs programmes are implemented
14. Conducting research on the effects of hazardous work conditions or workplace exposures

Key Requirements

1. Diploma in Clinical Medicine or Nursing (KRCHN)
2. Registered with respective council with a valid certificate for 2019
3. Diploma /Certificate in Occupational Health
4. Certificate in Counselling will be an advantage
5. Experience working in a factory/industry setting for at least 1 year.
