PRESENTATION EDITOR

Royal Media Services Limited wishes to recruit suitably qualified staff for the above position. The Job holder will be responsible for a smooth transmission of quality content in terms of audio and picture according to the house regulations and the Kenya media law and ethics.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Preparation of the daily transmission schedules
  • Ensure programs and live events are promoted
  • Ensure everyone follows the daily transmission incase of any adjustments
  • Ensure conformity with the daily commercial schedule
  • Ensure correct content airs across the day
  • Ensure all various on-air elements, sponsorships and branding air as scheduled
  • Preview and edit all assigned programs to ensure conformity with broadcasting standards by editing out content that is not permissible for transmission
  • Keep tabs on program stocks and backing them up on hard drive.
  • Liaise with field directors and producers during live transmission and prepare the station for live events with graphics and traffic department.
  • Instruct transmission crew on station breaks
  • Ensure accuracy in program durations including bulletins
  • Query anomalies in schedules and content
  • Occasionally checking on viewer feedback from the sms system.

Academic and professional Experience
  • Degree in mass communication/Journalism or any other related field from a recognized institution.
  • 1 year experience in a busy media house
