National Oil Vacancy -Control Room Operator

The National Oil Corporation of Kenya is a fully integrated state corporation involved in all aspects of the petroleum supply chain involving oil and gas.
The corporation  is now taking applications for a vacancy in its premises as follows:

Job Title: Control Room Operator: 2 Posts

The ideal candidate for the above job will be responsible for conducting products receipts, storage inventory, assisting in loading process and coordinating maintenance within the terminal.

Key Responsibilities

• Participating in calibration exercise on the gantry equipments e.g PD metres calibration and back loading exercise
• Ensuring maintenance of safety valves and loading devices /equipments are kept at highest working condition
• Ensuring accurate ullage calculation before pump over from HMI 
• Effective communication with kpc during pump over operations
• Carrying out monthly testing of level detectors for highest levels
• Timely measuring, documenting and updating fuel FACS on all measurements
• Ensure pre-inspection of loading equipments are done 
• Timely attending of breakdown on loading equipments
• Ensure utility equipments like GENSET are well maintained to enhance continuous loading in case of power failure 
• Keeping up to date reports on trucks turn around
• Play a key role in emergency response team of fires and spills 

Qualifications and Experience

The candidate must possess the following minimum academic and professional experience;

1. Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent from a recognised institution
2. At least two (2) years experience in depot operations
3. Good communication skills
4. Interpersonal, organisational and coordinating skills
5. Customer service and project management skills
