April Intakes

Courses offered at KISE in April intake include:
  • Certificate in Kenyan sign language (School based)

May & June Intakes

Courses offered at KISE in May & June intake include:
  • Certificate in Kenyan sign Language ( Full time)

August Intakes

Courses offered for August intake at Kenya Institute of Special Education( KISE) include: 
  • Diploma in Special education ( School based)
  • Diploma in Early childhood care Development and Education ( school based)
  • Certificate in special needs education (inclusive education) school based
  • Certificate in Rare childhood Development and Education (ECDE) school based
  • Certificate in special education for learners with Autism ( school based)
  • Certificate in special education for learners with cerebral palsy (school based)
  • Certificate in Braille ( school based)
  • Certificate in Audiology ( school based)

September Intakes

This is the major intake at KISE where students make applications for admission in the month of May as government sponsored.
Courses offered for September intakes include:
  • Diploma in Special needs education ( Hearing impairment) Full time , in service
  • Diploma in Special needs education ( Autism, deaf and blind) Full time , in service
  • Diploma in special education ( Visual impairment) Full time 
  • Diploma in special education ( Mental Handicap) Full time
  • Diploma in Special education ( physical Handicap) Full time 
  • Certificate in Kenyan sign language ( Full time )


December intakes

Courses offered by KISE in December intakes include: 
  • Certificate in Guidance and counseling (SNE) school based
  • Certificate in Kenyan sign language (school based)
  • Certificate in Functional Assessment ( school based)
  • Certificate in Audiology ( school based)
  • Certificate in Braille ( school based)
  • Certificate in education for learners with Autism ( school based)
