Its required by law that all TVET Trainers /Accessers or Verifiers be registered with TVETA. An updated list is usually available on TVETA website for all verified TVET Trainers ,Accesses and Verifiers.



Requirements For Application


  • TVETA application form ( soft copy)
  • National ID card / passport ( scanned)
  • Recently taken passport sized photo
  • Proof of payment of application fee of ksh 1000 for each category payable through TVETA M-pesa playbill number: 894135 and applicant Full name as the account number.(N/B Confirm before making payments)

Minimum Qualifications as Trainers, Assessors and Verifiers

To be registered as a Trainer ,Assessor or Verifier, applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • The applicant area of qualification must be at least one level above the level the applicant wishes to operate.e.g if the applicant is a holder of diploma he/she can operate in a certificate level.
  • A qualification in training covering units in CBET assessment facilitation methods and quality assurance.(For those training in TVET institutions) or a CBET assessment qualification for work place training assessors or verifiers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the core competencies in the new thinking of learning and assessment.

TVET trainers including those who had applied earlier can submit their applications for registration and licensing through its online registration platform. TVET trainers and industry practitioners and also invited to submit their applications as assessors and/ or verifiers for CBET programs available on its website. The duties and responsibilities of assessors and verifiers are as stated in CBETA Standards and guidelines derived from section 57(b) of TVET Act, 2013.

Application Procedure

  • Click on the link mis.tveta.go.ke
  • A page with Institution and Trainer/Assessor/Verifier opens
  • For first time applicants, click register to create an account. For those registered and licensed under the old application process, kindly click on Existing
  • For new applicants, after creating an account, an email link will be sent to the personal email provided for activation. Click on the link to activate the account and set the password.
  • The portal will open a page with five areas to be filled. These include Personal Information, Contact Information, Education, Experience, Confirmation. Click, save, and continue after every step.
  • After the applicant gives consent that the information provided is factual, the applicant submits the information.
  • After submission, the applicant is automatically led to the licensing page. Select the area of licensing and then click on apply.
  • This opens up to the payment page. Click and pay the required amount.



The process usual takes about a month before one is issued with a license.
