How to Register with TVETA 2018/2019

The Kenyan law requires that all TVET Trainers, Assessors and Verifiers be registered and licensed by the TVET Authority Board.
The Authority therefore invites qualified TVETA Trainers, Assessors, and Verifiers to submit their applications for registration and licensing.

General requirements for Registration of Tveta Trainers, Assessors and Verifiers

  • TVETA application form ( soft copy)
  • National ID card / passport ( scanned)
  • Recently taken passport sized photo
  • Proof of payment of application fee of ksh 1000 for each category payable through TVETA M-pesa playbill number: 894135 and applicant Full name as the account number.

Minimum Qualifications as Trainers, Assessors and Verifiers

To be registered as a Trainer ,Assessor or Verifier, applicant must meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • The applicant area of qualification must be at least one level above the level the applicant wishes to operate.e.g if the applicant is a holder of diploma he/she can operate in a certificate level.
  • A qualification in training covering units in CBET assessment facilitation methods and quality assurance.(For those training in TVET institutions) or a CBET assessment qualification for work place training assessors or verifiers.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the core competencies in the new thinking of learning and assessment.

The application procedure

  • Download the application form , downloadable from the TVETA website.
  • Dull fill the form in dublicate and scan all required documents.
  • Forward the application form together with the other documents to TVETA through this email address as required : 
The process usual takes about a month before one is issued with a license.
