Applications are now welcomed by the NFDK for the big grants programme 2018/2019 before Friday 31st August 2018.
The National Fund for Disabled of Kenya (NFDK) provides grants country wide to empower persons with disabilities by funding projects within the institutions for the disabled.
Institutions to be funded
The institutions to be funded include:- Special schools
- Special units
- Rehabilitation centers
- Assessment centres
- Sheltered workshops
- Homes for persons with disabilities amongst others
What the Grant covers
The assistance will be given in the form of development grants such as:
- Building classrooms
- Building dormitories
- Buying Physiotherapy facilities
- Building wheelchair ramps / pavements/ training tools
- Starting a suitable income generating project within the institutions
The project to be funded must not be above ksh 2.5 million and below ksh 500,000.
How to Apply
Application forms are available at the Deputy County Commissioner office or one can download it at the www.nfdk.or.ke
- Fill and attach all relevant documents to the application form in Duplicate
- Send a copy of application to the County Deputy Commissioner as you send the original by hand or post it to the address below.
