Kenya Medical Training Colleges are government colleges under the Ministry Of Health entrusted with the role of training the various health disciplines in the health sector ,to serve local, regional and international markets.
KMTC has intakes (twice) every year March and September.

Due to the high demand of  the  institutions , the government is committed to increase the number of the campuses each year.
Currently we have about 65 campuses equally distributed across the country . Some of the campuses include:

The new courses introduced are just taken in some few of the campus but mainly in Nairobi.

Qualifications/Requirements for admissions at KMTC

  1. Certificate course
  • Minimum Mean Grade C-(minus)and above kcse.
  • Course duration 2years except for Community Health nursing which takes 2 and a half years.
2. Diploma course
  • Minimum Mean Grade C(plain)and above kcse.
  • Course duration 3 years except for Community Health nursing which takes 3 and a half years.
3.Higher Diploma Course
  • Must have a diploma in any of Healthcare professions from KMTC or  from other recognized institutions.
